Cooler Room/big box
The Marico Valley is famous for really high summer temperatures. To add to the “cooling furniture” of the farmhouse, a cool room was build. A hole was made in the southern side of the kitchen wall where a brick and clay room was build. A solar driven fan, trough and Hessian were added to maintain the temperature inside the room. A beautiful wooden frame and door were built in so the room is accessible from the kitchen.
